Treval Lodge is located close to the North Cornish coast on the edge of the Davidstow Moor just off the A395 and approximately 10 miles off the A30. It is one of 40 privately owned lodges set on the exclusive Inny Vale Holiday Village site which nestles alongside the gentle River Inny amidst rolling countryside.
High street supermarkets and amenities can be found in Camelford which is 5 miles away while groceries, newspapers and fresh bread can be purchased more locally. There are several pubs in the immediate area, a local church and petrol station.
The property is 5 miles from the beautiful and traditionally Cornish villages of Boscastle and Tintagel. It is also close to the sandy beaches of Bossiney, which joins up with neighbouring Beneath Cove at low tide; Crackington Haven and Trebarwith Strand. Slightly further afield are the larger beaches of Newquay, Rock, Widemouth Bay, Polzeath, Sandymouth and Bude. Many of these beaches are dog friendly all year round. However, some do have restrictions during the summer months so please check on local websites.
The immediate area offers excellent walking opportunities. Bodmin Moor with its numerous rocky granite peaks including Rough Tor and Brown Willy (the highest point in Cornwall offering unparalleled views of the county in every direction) have some superb walking trails and some of the best sections of the South West Coastal Path can easily be reached from Treval Lodge.
Further walking routes can be found at Crowdy Reservoir. Visitors are welcome to explore the reservoir, birdwatch, collect butterflies and fish for free if holders of an Environment Agency Rod Licence. Various picnic spots have been selected for public use in the Crowdy area.
For cyclists the Camel Trail, running 18 miles from Padstow to Wenford Bridge is within a 30 min drive; numerous golf courses are within easy reach as are some of the wonderful grand houses and gardens. For children, the Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay; Crealy Adventure Park and the Hidden Valley Discovery Park offer great days out.
